The 2011 call for proposals will be closed March 11, 2011 (00:00 Paris time).

All applications received after this date will be taken into account for the next session.

Two types of chairs are available :
• Senior Chairs, for distinguished senior researchers,
• Junior Chairs, for young researchers demonstrating exceptional promise.

Researchers may apply for :
• Full-time employment for up to four years
• Part-time employment (e.g., three months per year for up to four years)

Chairholders have the opportunity to apply for a permanent position at French Research Institutes such as CEA, CNRS and INRIA or the Universities and Engineering schools that jointly created Digiteo.

Digiteo Chairs include a competitive salary for the Chair holder, infrastructure and overhead support, research equipment, and general expenses related to the chairholder's research program. Digiteo grants may also fund PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and engineers to work with the Chair holder.

The holder of a Digiteo chair is supposed to reside in the Saclay area for a significant duration, at least equivalent to the time he (she) receives a salary from the chair. During his/her stay, the Chair holder will be expected to make a lecture to present his/her research to the Saclay Plateau ICT research community.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact Digiteo research teams before submitting a proposal, and to request comments on drafts. Priority will be given to applications that are of interest to more than one Digiteo team.
