The project to build three Digiteo buildings was launched, to allow the grouping and growth of the laboratories on the Saclay plateau. These facilities, with a surface area of nearly 22,000m² for a total cost of 64 million euros, will accommodate up to 1000 people spread over three sites: Moulon, Palaiseau and Saclay.

This project is a concrete demonstration of the emergence of a research cluster, bringing together all those involved in ICST research on the Saclay plateau. This will significantly increase international visibility and also enable a coherent development of ICST research.
A project driven by the network’s founders for several years
This project was launched by Digiteo’s six founder members: the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), the Ecole Polytechnique, the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (INRIA), Supélec and the University of Paris-Sud 11. It benefits from support by the local authorities (the Île-de-France Region, the Essonne Council and the Urban Community of the Saclay Plateau).
Organisation
Given the significant growth in ICST research, the ‘phase 1’ project will be followed by a ‘phase 2’ to be established for the coming years. From an operational perspective, each site is coordinated by one of the partners: CNRS for the Moulon building, CEA for the Saclay building and INRIA for the Palaiseau building.
